Accepting New Patients Across Massachusetts

One Provider. Consistent Care. Real Results.

Unlike large telehealth platforms where you see a different provider every visit, I offer continuous, personalized psychiatric care from a single board-certified specialist with 15+ years of experience. Medication management and counseling from the same provider who knows your story.

Jaime Eckert

Meet Jaime Eckert, MSN, APRN, PMHCNS-BC

With over 15 years of clinical experience - from inpatient psychiatric units to university counseling centers to private practice - I have helped hundreds of adults find the right treatment for anxiety, depression, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and more.

As a board-certified Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist, I am uniquely qualified to provide both medication management and counseling in the same appointment. That means fewer providers, less repeating your story, and a treatment plan built by someone who truly knows you.

All visits are virtual, HIPAA-compliant, and available to adults anywhere in Massachusetts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about starting care at Resilient Minds

What happens at the first appointment?
Your initial evaluation is a 60-minute virtual appointment. We will discuss your symptoms, medical history, current medications, and treatment goals. By the end of the session, you will have a clear understanding of your diagnosis and a personalized treatment plan, which may include medication, counseling strategies, or both.
Do I need a referral from my primary care doctor?
Most insurance plans do not require a referral to see a psychiatric provider, but some HMO plans may. I recommend checking with your insurance company before scheduling. If you are unsure, feel free to reach out and I can help you verify your benefits.
What is a Psychiatric Clinical Nurse Specialist (PMHCNS-BC)?
A PMHCNS-BC is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Clinical Nurse Specialist with advanced training in both medication management and psychotherapy. Unlike providers who only prescribe medication, I am uniquely qualified to provide integrated care combining medication management with evidence-based counseling, all in a single appointment. This means better continuity of care and a more holistic treatment approach.
How do telehealth appointments work?
All appointments are conducted via secure, HIPAA-compliant video through Doxy.me. You simply click a link I provide, and we meet face-to-face from the comfort of your home or any private space. All you need is a device with a camera, a microphone, and a stable internet connection. Telehealth is available to anyone located in Massachusetts at the time of the appointment.
How often will I have appointments?
Appointment frequency depends on your individual needs. When starting a new medication, I typically schedule follow-ups every 2-4 weeks to monitor your response and make adjustments. Once stable, most patients transition to monthly or quarterly visits. We will discuss the right schedule for you during your initial evaluation.
Do you prescribe controlled substances?
I prescribe stimulant medications for ADHD and other controlled substances when clinically appropriate and after a thorough evaluation. Prescribing decisions are made on a case-by-case basis and are always guided by evidence-based practices. I prioritize patient safety and follow all Massachusetts prescribing regulations.
I am already on medication. Can you take over my care?
Yes. Many of my patients come to me already taking psychiatric medications prescribed by another provider. During your initial evaluation, we will review your current medications, discuss what is working and what is not, and make a plan going forward. I will coordinate with your previous provider and primary care doctor as needed to ensure a smooth transition.
What is your cancellation policy?
I require 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations and no-shows are subject to a fee, as that appointment time could have been offered to another patient. I understand that emergencies happen and will always work with you on a case-by-case basis. Full details are on the Policies page.
